Egyptian President Resigns on 2/11/11

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down after weeks of protests calling for him to step aside. Mubarak resigned on 2/11/11.

This is a major event in the history of Egypt. What happens in the future with the Egyptian government could have big implications in the Middle East, particularly in regards to Israel. While there is hope for a democracy in Egypt, there are also fears that power could fall into the wrong hands, such as the Muslim Brotherhood.
