11 Phenomenon Forum / Famous People and the Number 11 Phenomenon
« on: February 10, 2019, 06:52:27 PM »
I was watching the television show The Masked Singer the other night and one of the contestants gave a clue as to their identity and it was a clock with the time set at 11:11. Spoiler alert if you are watching and didn’t see last week’s episode…

The performer turned out to be former talk show host, Ricki Lake. Turns out the number 11 has significance in her life and she has tweeted out 11:11 and such.
https://twitter.com/RickiLake/status/846424550954876928/photo/1

Quite a few celebrities are experiencing this. Steven Tyler, Ellen Degeneres, Jordan Sparks, and Paris Hilton are some that come to mind that I have seen post or speak about this. No doubt there are many others. This is clearly a phenomenon that is happening across all walks of life. A lot of people post out 11:11 wishes and similar things. Many don’t realize just how big this is, but they know they have been seeing the number 11 a lot. They think it is some kind of coincidence that they might know a number of people are experiencing, but don’t realize the depth of it all.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the principles behind positive thinking and the law of attraction and various related ideas behind how we think. Just how well do these “laws” and theories work to combat fear and negativity and attract prosperity? The Bible speaks a lot about dispelling fear. I haven’t counted, but a lot of sources say that fear is mentioned some 365 times. That kind of repetition should draw the attention of any believer. Clearly, there is a battle going on that challenges us in the areas of fear/anxiety.

There are many self-help experts/gurus who work, in large part, on the principles of positive thinking and the law of attraction. You have The Secret, which covers the Law of Attraction. Of course, there is the Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale, which preceded so much of what we see today. There are numerous gurus like Tony Robbins, as well as those who approach these ideas from a Christian perspective such as Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers, the late Robert Schuller, and many others who speak frequently about being positive and turning bad circumstances around.

I am not here to advocate any single method or any of them for that matter. At least not right now. I am in the novice category who wants to learn more and apply it to see what happens. While I can’t attest to the results yet, I can see the need having been brought up around a great deal of negativity and having difficult circumstances throughout my life that tax every ounce of your hope. I see many others going through very difficult things – much more than seems to be their fair share. Definitely a lot more so than some who seem to float through life with positivity, happiness and prosperity. Is it about luck? If you have read this site you already know what I think about luck. I might refer to bad luck or good luck because we so often call it that, but the luck I am speaking about is not chance. The good and bad are coming from somewhere and at times way beyond mathematical probability. If you’ve lived it you know exactly what I mean. If you are one of us who has experienced the repeating numbers and patterns phenomenon then you at least know how things can happen way beyond rational chance.

So how much of our circumstances can we control with the mind? The need is definitely there. There are so many people fighting battles that seem to start from within, but most likely come from external forces that we cannot see. Clearly these circumstances are happening for a reason. Right? Do we have power over them? There is no shortage of people who claim they have overcome the difficulties that have haunted them in the past. I am a pretty good test subject for this myself so I will try to learn and hopefully can help others at the same time. I do know that negativity, whether it comes from within or is thrust upon you from the outside is very damaging.

Whether you were raised under difficult circumstances or are involved with abusive or negative people in your day to day life, the effects of negativity weigh heavy and can follow you throughout life. It can not only lead people to depression and a general state of unhappiness, but also freeze them with anxiety from being able to do even the most basic of things. It can push them into a variety of damaging bad habits. Stress is known to have a very damaging effect on the body as well so it seems without question that the things that cause stress will do a terrible number on you. But can we really change it all with our thoughts, habits, and our words? For some the whole idea may seem silly. We all come from different backgrounds and were raised differently. We have had different circumstances and the minds we were born with may process it all in different ways. Yet despite all that, countless are in similar battles when it comes to anxiety and the like. Bad “luck” seems to hit many of us like a curse. Is it? And can we break the curse?

I have little doubt that a positive outlook will help make you think more clearly and be able to make better decisions in general. But overcoming the so-called “bad luck” is not easy to do with decision-making alone. At least not some of the luck I am speaking of here. And when you get knocked down so many times the vicious cycle can really take a toll. If something happens to a person enough times is it irrational to fear it is going to happen again? People question whether the hard work that goes into making sound decisions is even worth it when the unforeseeable turns those good decisions into wrong decisions time and time again.

There are people who are born into horrible circumstances and areas in the world. They didn’t do anything in the womb to bring on such terrible things. There are things such as generational curses that may be an explanation for a lot of what people go through in their lives. I have also seen more than a few people who think whatever happens to others is always a person’s own fault. I certainly don’t agree with that. Most likely they have been on the other side of the breaks in life and simply cannot relate. It is even understandable for a person whom the coin lands on heads 50 times and tails 50 times to not understand when someone tells them it landed on one or the other 90 out of a hundred in their lives. If you get what I’m trying to say.

The real question here is, can we, through our thinking, attract more of the good forces and breaks in life? And by doing so bring more of the “good luck” into our lives? Is the law of attraction real? Is visualization the answer? It has helped countless people in all walks of life. Can it help those who can't seem to shake the bad breaks in life?

I’ve seen people so negative that they could undermine any so-called good luck. In fact, this has been done many times in monumental fashion. We have all seen so many incredibly successful people who weren’t really happy and have either committed suicide or slowly did themselves in through unhealthy lifestyles. In these circumstances there is an intersection of attraction and positive thinking. On one hand they were able to attract success, but on the other they then sabotaged it through some form of negative thinking. Maybe positivity and negativity can hit great highs and lows in a person’s mind at the same time or at least in different areas? The people I’m talking about managed to attract great things, but also managed to destroy those very same gifts in dramatic fashion.

So there are a lot of questions and examples when it comes to the law of attraction, positive thinking, and faith. I will probably be bouncing around various people, books, and methods to try to get a handle on this. I have a copy of The Power of Positive Thinking that I borrowed from the library so I will definitely be examining that right off. There is no shortage of information and videos online regarding similar methods as well as the law of attraction. I think the key is in understanding whether or not these principles actually do work as well as we have heard and what are the common threads. Examining as many methods as possible will help in finding the similarities and maybe the reasons behind whey they do work.

Getting encouragement and inspiration from the quotes and principles of other people who have risen above their difficulties can hopefully give us inspiration. I’m not really looking to critique various methods or people. If I find things that I don’t like I may comment on it, but I think there are things to be gained from most positive and successful people and I think for obvious reasons that it is best to focus on what works. In the case of faith, positive thinking, and the law of attraction we are talking about more than just habits of successful people. It is about the mind and spirit and things we can’t see. Can anyone tap into these incredible forces to help themselves and the world around them? I’ll do my best to learn and apply what I can to my own life and hopefully others will as well. And more importantly, with great results! More to come…

A team of astronomers have found 60 new planets orbiting stars close to Earth's solar system, including a planet named Gliese 411b that they are calling a super Earth. They also found evidence of 54 more planets possibly bringing the number up to 114. All the stars the astronomers looked at had at least one planet with them. This could make the number of planets well into the trillions, making the odds of life overwhelming. Just amazing the mysteries and wonders that are out there that we know nothing about.

11 Phenomenon Forum / 123, 1234, 234
« on: June 29, 2016, 02:29:54 AM »
Have been seeing a lot of consecutive numbers for quite a few months now. Earlier I was drawn to the clock at 12:34, 1:23, and 2:34. I decided to do some searches on scripture using those numbers. Was looking at some random verses and used that to start the search using those books in the Bible and the second one I used was Deuteronomy 1:2-3:

Quote
2 (There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.)

3 And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the Lord had given him in commandment unto them;

Pretty significant Bible verse and as I said it was just the second one I'd searched. And a couple of elevens happened to be in there so I thought I would share this...

11 Phenomenon Forum / Awakening
« on: February 02, 2016, 08:26:27 PM »
I was watching the movie Awakenings late last night. If you haven't seen or heard of it the movie stars Robert De Nero and Robin Williams. There are some analogies that could be drawn from the movie regarding the 11 phenomenon. People are awakened from decades in a catatonic state to find a new world... But what really got my attention was when I was getting tired and thinking of turning the movie off when I looked at the clock to see it was 1:11. It is commonly thought that this phenomenon is an awakening of sorts so the title and being drawn to the time at 1:11 really got my attention. What so many are experiencing with the number 11 and variations of it is often referred to as a spiritual awakening or awakening code...

Something made me check and it happens that Robin Williams departed this world on the 11th day of August. Was born on 7/21 which = 10. Died on 8/11 = 10. Drop the zeros and you have 11 there. Williams also married his last wife in 2011. De Niro's birth date was  8/17/1943 = 33. Add them individually and break them down and you will end up with 8/8/8. Those dates are on the bio snippet when you search their names in Google so I didn't have to do a lot to come up with those. Statistically you won't usually find this nearly this often so I thought it was worth noting given everything else.

Planet X has been discovered. Well, sort of. This is pretty fascinating. Some very renowned scientists believe that they have detected the effects of a huge hidden planet in our solar system. They also believe the effects they see only have about a 1 in 15,000 chance of being a coincidence. The planet is also believed to orbit the sun every 15,000 years. For now they are calling the planet, Planet Nine.

For ages there has been a theory that a Planet X existed basically where a huge planet was hiding deep in the solar system with a gravitational pull large enough to potentially have disastrous effects when it gets close enough. Planet X is also sometimes referred to as Nibiru, The Destroyer, and Wormwood, among other things. It was considered by many people to be the stuff of science fiction. Now, much like a lot of science fiction, it turns out there is something to it. Planet Nine/X is thought to be 10 times the mass of earth, but how big and how far away are probably anybody’s guess at this point. But this is just another example of the mysteries that are out there that we have just begun to scratch the surface of. And it happens to come during a period of time where so many other signs have occurred.

The dwarf planet Ceres, which is which is located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter has a lot of mysteries surrounding it. Images taken by the Dawn probe show a three-mile high pyramid shape along with photos of mysterious bright spots. These are real photos.
The pictures were taken from a distance of 2,700 miles. The pyramid really stands out from the rest of the landscape, which is pretty smooth. The bright spots are located in a crater, about 55 miles long. They really stand out as well and have scientists coming up with all kinds of theories. Salt and ice are a couple of ideas being thrown around, but this is not something that resembles anything else that’s been seen in the solar system.
If this turns out to be something really wild you have to wonder if we will ever be filled in on it. Either way, it shows that there are so many things that continue to surprise and baffle scientists. And we have seen such a tiny fraction of what is out there.

NASA's Curiosity Rover took a picture of an object that looks like a stone coffin. Immediately it is being chalked up to pareidolia — the phenomenon of seeing faces and other such objects in our surroundings. But the strange formation is there, isn't it? It is yet another bizarre photo from the red planet and the "rock formation" really seems way out of place. Alien researcher Scott Waring asked, "What would it take to get NASA to turn the rover around and examine the contents of this box?" Seems like a fair question.

A couple weeks ago I had a pretty vivid dream. I saw a group of numbers somewhere around 8 deep by about 20 lines wide that were scrolling at amazing speed. I could see there were many more just outside my field of vision. There were some letters sprinkled in with the numbers and they were crystal clear at the time of the dream, although I don’t remember any specific groups of numbers. What struck me from the dream when I was having it and when I woke up was that I was looking at the numbers or code of the universe. I knew the numbers meant something and the enormity of it was stunning. Since I felt the numbers meant something the enormity of them made me feel they were far bigger than anything earthly.

Something else about the dream was that I had felt that I was just waking up. I closed my eyes and it seemed to me like I was not fully asleep. I have had a few of those kinds of dreams before where I would see something very clear like I was watching a movie play out before me at very fast speed. Despite the speed of it I could see great detail. One of those dreams was where I was moving above hundreds of houses and could see each in great detail as I passed each one.

Although it could somehow be a dream within a dream the clarity of these is what also set them apart from other dreams. I know that sleep paralysis has something to do with going to a stage between sleep and waking up. It is claimed that you are still experiencing REM sleep even though you have woken up.  Whether this is related or similar to that I do not know. It has happened as I was about to fall asleep and also as I had woken up so I would stop short on calling it some kind of a vision. I don’t know enough about dreams to have a good read on it at this point.

11 Phenomenon Forum / New Boards Added to the Site
« on: November 21, 2014, 02:58:06 AM »
I have created some new boards on the site at http://www.11phenomenon.com/forum/index.php (screenshot below). I’d like to thank Jason for his feedback. Although I am hoping the new boards help with bringing the mystery of the 11 phenomenon together, nothing really changes regarding the main 11 Phenomenon board.  Feel free to post here as usual even if it touches on subjects in the other boards. The other boards can be used if people want to delve more specifically into those subjects. You can also refer/point to other boards as needed/desired. You can bookmark this board and bypass the others altogether if you prefer. We have great members here so I’m not worried about it.

The main hope is to get some new members with an interest in various phenomena to help shed new light on the 11 phenomenon even if they don't immediately see the connection or are unaware altogether of it. It may also be a light bulb moment for people who are experiencing this but still writing it off to a personal coincidence. There are a lot of people like that out there.

This is going to be a work in progress. I wanted to make the categories broad enough to cover most everything that could be related without creating a ton of boards. In the interest of being open minded I want to allow discussion on things a lot of people are passionate about even if I don’t necessarily agree or goes against my own belief system. There are too many unanswered questions to be rigid. I expect I will need to tweak these as we go, possibly adding some categories or combining depending on how things go. One of the difficult things with the 11 phenomenon is how so many things can relate and how those things relate to each other. It makes it difficult to index things because there are multiple categories different topics can fit in. There are a number of ways to do things with pros and cons for each. Will just have to play it by ear and adjust as things play out.

I wouldn’t expect much for some time on these boards since most people find the site through the search engines. It’s going to take time for them to start showing up in searches. We have some great new members and hopefully this will help us better understand things and expand our knowledge while adding to the participation rate.

11 Phenomenon Forum / What happens to our brains when we meditate?
« on: June 18, 2014, 03:16:12 PM »
Hi Everyone. Somebody posted this earlier and I accidentally deleted it when I was deleting a spam post. Please let us know if you posted it. I have the body of it below, but not who posted it. It is an interesting topic that is involved in some form or other of most religions, as well as some non-religious practices... There have been medical studies that support that there are benefits to it.

"This is a very interesting article from Conscious life news.  If you have a few minutes, check it out. It has MRI imaging of how the brain nearly shuts down as you find your "quiet place."

The movie I Origins is due out in July:  www.imdb.com/title/tt2884206

It is another example that what we are experiencing with the number 11 is growing. The movie trailer opens up as follows:

Quote
I go to 7Eleven, I buy some stuff. The cashier replies, "11.11." Lucky elevens. I look at the date its 11/11. I look at the time its 11:11. I start to see these elevens everywhere.

Both Ellen Degeneres and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler have been experiencing the number 11 phenomenon. No doubt there are many others who are either reluctant to discuss this publicly or who have not hit that point of the experience yet. It is amazing to see this is affecting people from all walks of life.

Dr. Oz interviewed Steven Tyler regarding his overcoming substance abuse. This is a great and very open interview for anyone who has struggled with this or have had loved one(s) who have.

Tyler was discussing the fate involved when he met Dr. Harry Haroutunian. It is interesting that the audience broke into applause as soon as he mentioned seeing these numbers on the clock. The segment comes at about 3:40 of part 3 of the interview:

http://www.doctoroz.com/episode/steven-tyler-record?video_id=2662815494001

Quote
“Once you get into spirituality and realize it; once you realize like; you ever watch the clock and see 12:12 or 11:11 or 3:33 and suddenly you see it more after that? Spirituality is like that. Once you notice it, it starts coming into your life.”

The Ellen Degeneres video is of her addressing people asking her why she named her new record label ElevenEleven! I think most of us on this site would have had a pretty good idea where it may have come from. Ellen was discussing an amazing 12 year old singer she found named Grayson Chance.

The quote is a minute into the video:

http://www.ellentv.com/videos/1-7utrqmpm

Quote
“It’s actually a number every time I look at the clock its 11:11. Whenever I’m anywhere I see 11:11 all the time and I think about it, and I found him on the 11th and his number happens to be 11 on his soccer team and it’s just a number that kinda…”

You aren't alone. We understand completely!

11 Phenomenon Forum / Forum Rules - Signing Up
« on: May 08, 2013, 10:33:04 PM »
Hi everybody. This is a bit overdue and mostly for new members or those wishing to sign up. Due to the amount of spam on the board your signup must be approved before you can post. I am able to filter out 99% of the spammers this way. If you send me an email it can expedite the process and decrease the chance of getting your signup accidentally deleted (gene at 11 phenomenon...). If you are a spammer do not bother signing up. Spam isn't tolerated and your ip information will be collected and may be reported... Your spam post will not last long so if you are smart you will realize it is not worth wasting your time. I am aware not everybody is that smart. If anyone sees spam on the board feel free to contact me or click on the "report to moderator" option that appears in the post.

The only other thing I ask for from members is to be respectful of others. Dissenting opinion is fine, but try to be intelligent as I reserve the right to delete you if I deem you are just being difficult. I think it is also good practice to assume children could be reading the posts so try to keep it as something you wouldn't be afraid of your own kids reading. While I would consider this a site for adults, this phenomenon can happen to young and old alike so they could actually be searching to see if this is happening to anyone else and seeking answers; Just like most of the rest of us did. And this is the world wide web after all so some people will just stumble on to it so lets do our best to be respectful. Just use some common sense. While most sites don't seem to care anymore I would like this one to...

As for the good people out there of which is most of you - welcome aboard! A lot of people are having the same experiences as you are so you are among friends and at home here.
